Crown Paper Mill (CPM), a UAE-headquartered leader in jumbo tissue paper rolls, has reached a major operational milestone with the successful commissioning of its new tissue manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia, successfully reeling its first commercial tissue paper on September 9, 2026.
The startup marks the first manufacturing footprint outside of the United Arab Emirates for the company, establishing a strategic production hub in the Kingdom to cater to rapidly rising regional demand.

The newly operational mill features a state-of-the-art, high-speed Valmet Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine. Built for high efficiency and premium product output, the technical layout includes:
-
Design & Operating Speed: Engineered for top speeds of up to 2,200 meters per minute with a width of 5.6 meters.
-
Production Capacity: The initial output capacity is 65,000 tonnes per year, expanding Crown Paper Mill’s total combined UAE and Saudi capacity to 165,000 tonnes per year.
-
Advanced Machinery Lineup: Valmet’s full-scope delivery includes an OptiFlo headbox, a high-performance Yankee cylinder, a ViscoNip press, an AirCap Heli hood air system, WetDust systems, a SoftReel, and a Focus Rewinder.
-
Automation and Control: The plant is equipped with an extensive automation package, featuring the Valmet DNA Distributed Control System (DCS) with built-in machine condition monitoring and the Valmet IQ Quality Control System (QCS).

The mill utilizes advanced energy-conserving and water-recycling technologies. The integration of next-generation manufacturing machinery minimizes raw material waste and lowers chemical usage, aligning with broader corporate sustainability targets.
The new plant strengths CPM’s supply chain resilience in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, offering localized proximity to key clients while strengthening export frameworks.
